GeTennis ("the Service") connects tennis players via WhatsApp (and, during the pilot, Telegram) and keeps their results, ratings and match history. Operator: GeTennis, Jerusalem, Israel.

Data we collect

Your phone number (on Telegram only if you share it with the button); the details you provide when registering (name, birth year, optional gender – used to address you and for tables – level, city or cities, who you are comfortable playing with, when you usually play, favourite courts); optional card details (photo, emoji, a short line); your notification preferences and pauses; match requests, connections, results and ratings you report or confirm; short notes the Service keeps to remember your preferences; and the content of messages you send, kept for troubleshooting for 60 days and then deleted.

How we use it

To find suitable partners by city, level, availability, age and partner preference, and suggest a court with a booking link; to send service messages (match requests – up to 5 a day by default, fewer or paused on request – reminders and result questions); to compute ratings, tables and history; and to spot problems that need the team (for example a harassment report or a request to talk to a person). We do not send marketing messages and we do not sell data.

What other players see

Your player card (full name, age, level, city and favourite court, when you play, your photo or emoji and line, plus rank, record and reliability) when you request or answer a match. Your phone number is shared only after both players agree to connect. Rating tables, in the bot and on this website, show first name and last initial – or no name, only your emoji, if you choose so ("אנונימי בטבלה") – with city, points, record, win streak and recent results; you can opt out at any time by sending "בלי טבלה". Players under 18 are never shown in public tables.

Service providers

Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) for message delivery; Anthropic for language processing of message text (not used to train models); and our hosting provider.

Minors

The Service is open to all ages. Players under 18 are matched only with players of a similar age (2 years apart, at most 3) and are hidden from public tables. Any report by a minor goes to the team immediately. We recommend minors use the Service with parental awareness.

Retention and deletion

Your profile and memory notes are kept while you use the Service; events (matches, confirmed games, reports) for at least a year; raw message content is deleted after 60 days. Send the word "הסר" at any time and all your personal data is deleted, including your photo; past match results are kept for statistics only, without identifying details. You may also request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.
